Diane Micklin
Diane Micklin has always loved art and pursued it as a serious hobby in 2002. She started out painting landscapes and still life. She would always be drawn to abstract art, but never thought she could make the switch from realism to abstract. Painting abstracts opened up a whole new world for Diane as an artist. She knows where a painting will start depending on the color scheme, but where it ends up is always a surprise.Diane enjoys painting in layers, sometimes building upon the colors, other times scraping to reveal the color scheme underneath. Diane has exhibited at numerous juried shows including the Chadds Ford Art Show, Chester County Art Association (CCAA), Unionvillle Art Gala, Radley Run Art Show, Brandywine Festival of the Arts, Malvern Retreat House, and the LBI Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. She has been a featured artist at Galer Winery in Kennett Square, PA and Z Gallery in West Chester, PA. Diane lives in Chadds Ford, PA with her husband and three children.
