Cynthia Chatman

I’m a painter and educator. I’ve taught art in the New York City public schools for 26 years. I exhibit my work regularly at The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in Redhook, Brooklyn. My favorite medium is oil on canvas and my favorite subject matter is New York City. There?s so much that can go into a cityscape just as there is so much that goes into the life of a city: many textures and layers, endless possibilities.
