Megan Partridge

Megan Partridge is a self-taught artist residing in the District of Columbia. She currently holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Duke University. As an intense and impatient person by nature, she appreciates the instant gratification from watching fluid paint meander across a canvas or the swift changes an image takes when sprayed or turned or joined by a new color. Though her subject and style vary, her paintings consistently feature rich, bold colors and intense value variation, and in the end, the sinuous fluid lines become part of bold, solid forms, imbuing the completed work with a reminder of the chance elements of existence and the fleeting moments we have to impact to course of life’s events.
