Alyssa Peek

Alyssa Peek was born in the Bronx, NY and raised in Rockford, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Marketing of Textiles and Apparel. After graduation she moved back to New York and spent over 20 years working in the Fashion Industry in New York, City.After leaving the Fashion Industry, Alyssa opened Peek Photography, LLC where she is a self-taught Portrait and Fine Art Photographer. Introduced to art and photography as a young child by her father. Alyssa was greatly influenced by him and continues to honor him in her work and by living out her passion.Peek’s portrait work focuses on photographing women over 40 where her passion is to bring out and capture her subjects natural beauty. Her Fine Art Photography reflects her love of abstract expressionism and modern art. Each image is her original photograph taken by the artist. Most images are manipulated with in camera or in post-production to achieve a painterly effect by adding texture, layers and ‘repainting’ in Photoshop. Others are straight out of the camera but capture the surrounding form an abstract point of view.Her work has been exhibited and sold in Ashawagh Hall and Guild Hall both in East Hampton, NY and sold in various design retail locations in NYC East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Southampton and Delray Beach, Florida. She also works directly with interior designers.
